Born in Akron, Ohio, Drew Waters and his family moved in 1978 to Orange, Texas, where he and his older brother grew up. Joining the Navy, Drew served four years, while stationed in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He made rank quickly and was responsible for more than 85 F/A-14 Fighter Jets, working as an aviation mechanic.

Always an athlete, Drew competed in a modeling contest with 3,500 entrants and won. He was then scouted by several modeling agencies. After his enlistment ended, Drew began a career as an international print model, working on ad campaigns for designers like Ralph Lauren, Prada, Structure, Versace, Chaps, Hugo Boss, Guess, and Abercrombie & Fitch.

Drew had eight successful years of modeling the globe’s top runways and landing covers and ads in GQ, Vogue, Esquire, and Men’s Fitness, among others. World-renowned photographer Bruce Weber suggested Drew try his hand at acting, seeing something special in him. Since Drew’s dream had always been to act, he began taking classes and workshops to hone his acting skills.

Drew landed commercial and industrial assignments for local, regional and international clients such as Luby’s, Ford, and Dell Computer. Soon, national talent agencies began to pursue him to audition for TV and film. Of the many parts he has played, Drew guest starred on NBC’s “Surface,” and had lead roles in several independent films,Foreign Soil,” “The Plan,” and “They Feed,” which placed second in the Westlake Film Festival.

Drew can currently be seen starring opposite Danica McKellar as her husband in Lifetime Television’s “Inspector Mom.” The show follows McKellar, an ex-investigative reporter turned local newspaper columnist, during her attempts to solve some very personal crimes.

Drew plays her airline pilot husband and father of their two children, who is less than thrilled with his wife’s sleuthing ways. Lifetime Movie Network (LMN) aired the two-hour premiere of “Inspector Mom” on November 18. In addition, the network will broadcast 10 bi-weekly “Inspector Mom” web episodes online at www.lmn.tv. After the first of the year, LMN will air another “Inspector Mom” one-and-a-half-hour movie.

Not content to settle for success in both modeling and acting, Drew is also making his mark behind the camera as part owner of Dallas based production company, ReQuest Entertainment. As part of the ReQuest team, Drew is producing, directing and acting in feature films for international and domestic sales. With thriving careers in acting, modeling and business, the sky is the limit for Drew Waters.
